Google is preparing a comprehensive design evolution for Android: Material 3 Expressive is intended to make user interfaces more “emotional” and user-friendly. At least that’s what a Google I/O blog post accidentally published too early promises.
One UI 8 is ready to launch sooner than expected. Samsung is planning the start of the beta based on Android 16 for the third week of May, thus drastically shortening the update cycle. The big question, however, remains what new functions can be expected.
